Costumes, Cardio, & Chaos: The Do’s and Dont’s of Halloween HIGH

by | Oct 6, 2025

🎃 It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year… HALLOWEEN! 🎃
Nobody does Halloween like HIGH Fitness! Costumes, themed music, spooky snacks — we’ve got it dialed in. All month long, HIGH classes across North America are bringing the energy and the eerie.
And don’t forget — our Halloween Howler is back and bigger than ever!
📍 Harrah’s Hotel, Las Vegas
🗓 Saturday, October 25th at 11 AM
After 10 years of epic Halloween sweat sessions, we’ve learned a thing or two about how to do Halloween — HIGH style. Here’s your guide to the dos and don’ts to keep things fun, functional, and totally fang-tastic!

The DO’s and the DONT’S

❌ DON’T: Wear bulky costumes or masks
We love a good costume, but not when it makes it impossible to move or breathe! Bulky, hot, or restrictive outfits will zap your energy and make it tough to “HIGH” your heart out.
✅ DO: Go for lightweight and creative!
Opt for face paint, fun accessories (cat ears, antlers, wigs), or colored fitness wear that fits your theme. Keep it breathable, flexible, and ready to move!
❌ DON’T: Overindulge in treats before class
That pumpkin cookie might look tempting, but sugar + cardio = a scary combo. A full, sugary stomach leads to cramps, sluggishness, and regret.
✅ DO: Save the sweets for after!
Use post-class time to schmooze, snack, and snap photos. You’ll feel your best during class and still enjoy the Halloween goodies after!
❌ DON’T: Stick to only Halloween music
An all-spooky playlist sounds fun in theory, but trust us — 60 minutes of “Monster Mash” gets old fast.
✅ DO: Mix it up!
Blend Halloween tracks with pop, rock, and remixes for an upbeat, curated vibe that keeps everyone moving and smiling.
❌ DON’T: Start celebrating too early
Yes, we’re obsessed… but let’s pace ourselves. Too many themed classes before October 1st can lead to Halloween burnout.
✅ DO: Build the hype!
Count down to the big day, plan your costume, and keep the excitement building — especially for the Vegas Halloween Howler!
❌ DON’T: Miss out on the Vegas Howler
This is the HIGH Fitness event of the year. You don’t want FOMO haunting you!
✅ DO: Grab your tickets now!
There’s something for every budget and every level of HIGH fan. It’s going to be a scary good time on the Vegas Strip — and trust us, you’ll never forget it.

👻 Easy Fitness-Friendly Costume Ideas

You don’t have to spend big to look festive. Here are simple, sweat-friendly costume ideas using pieces you probably already own:
  • Cheerleader: Fitness skirt, leotard, and pom-poms
  • Spider: Black unitard + pipe-cleaner “legs” on a headband
  • Vampire: Black unitard, cape, and fanged makeup
  • Skeleton: Skeleton pajamas (yes, those count!)
  • Barbie: Pink leotard, bright leggings, high ponytail, sunglasses
  • Clown: Color-block fitness gear, wig or curls, bold makeup
  • Dead Doll: Torn dress over biker shorts, red food coloring “splatter,” pigtails
  • Cat: Black leotard, whisker makeup, DIY ears
  • Synchronized Swimmer: Leotard, swim cap, goggles
Be creative, have fun, and remember — the goal is to move, sweat, and smile. Costumes are totally optional, but stepping out of your comfort zone makes it all the more memorable.
So grab your glitter, your ghostly grin, and your HIGH crew — let’s make this Halloween one for the books!
