Your Thanksgiving PSA: A Reminder of What Really Matters

by | Nov 25, 2025

This is your friendly Thanksgiving PSA to remind you of what’s truly important—and just how blessed we really are. Yes, the holidays can be exhausting and overwhelming (we see you!), but this week we’re inviting you to tune into grateful mode and elevate your entire Thanksgiving experience.

Here’s the truth: the things many of us stress about during the holidays would be someone else’s greatest blessing. We’ve all heard that a million times… but when you slow down, sit back, and really lean into that perspective? It changes everything. It shows you how rich your life already is—and has you slaying grateful this season.

We’re not downplaying your challenges. Your stress is real, valid, and totally understandable. But if you can put food on the table, gather with loved ones, and be in a safe home—then you are truly, deeply fortunate.
Years ago, when HIGH Fitness was just getting started, we had the honor of hearing Stephanie Nielson speak. She survived a plane crash and suffered burns over most of her body. I still remember her describing how she lay in her hospital bed wishing she could do something as simple as take out the garbage. That moment has stuck with me ever since.
It was a powerful reminder: the beauty of life is in the little things.
The rest? It’s all fluff.
The messes are actually blessings—proof that love, life, and excitement have filled your home. Yes, it can be overwhelming… but one day, we’ll wish we could relive this exact Thanksgiving. So let’s cherish every second.

5 Ways to Get Grateful This Week

1. Unplug and Look Around
Put the phone down and take in your wonderful life. Play a board game. Take a walk. Talk to your kids. Tell stories.
Nothing online is more important than who is right in front of you. And remember—this exact age and stage won’t ever happen again.
2. Let Go of Perfect
Nothing about the holidays will be flawless, so let’s get grateful for the mayhem. What would our lives be without the people—and pets—who make the messes? Chaos is love in motion.
3. Slow Down
The holiday “go, go, go” feels nonstop, but this year, choose to slow down.
Have a cozy morning with your spouse, take a yoga class, breathe a little deeper, and reflect on just how lucky you are.
4. Sweat It Out
There is nothing like a good workout to clear your head. When things get overwhelming, move your body.
We guarantee you’ll return feeling refreshed, centered, grateful, and ready to handle whatever chaos comes next.
5. See the World as Full as Your Turkey Belly
Focus on the positives, and everything shifts. You’ll feel happier—and you’ll invite even more blessings into your life.
Everything is either a gift or a lesson. When you live with that mindset, your whole life levels up.

A Final Reminder

If you slip into frustration (because hello, you’re human), be gentle with yourself. Regroup. Reflect. And come back to this message to reset into blessed mode.
We are truly grateful for each and every one of you in this incredible HIGH community.

Happy Thanksgiving from the entire HIGH Fitness team.
